Marvin Turner

Founder & CFO

Marvin Turner brings more than four decades of business management, financial leadership, and entrepreneurial experience

to his role as Chief Financial Officer of BiThermal Technologies. A Utah resident since childhood, Marvin began his career in the

banking industry, holding positions as Operations Manager, Branch Manager, and Loan Officer at leading financial institutions.

He holds a degree in Business Management, with secondary concentrations in Communications and Psychology, from the

University of Utah.

In 1980, Marvin transitioned into private enterprise, co-founding Cuisine Unlimited Catering & Special Events in Salt Lake City

with his wife, Maxine. While continuing his corporate banking career, Marvin played a critical role in building the business from

the ground up. With Utah’s selection as host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Marvin made the decision in 1995 to leave

banking and fully commit to Cuisine Unlimited. Under his leadership, the company grew to over $6.5 million in annual revenue,

supported by a staff of more than 60 employees and operating out of over 20,000 square feet of commissary and office space.

Over the years, Marvin held several leadership roles at Cuisine Unlimited, including Senior Vice President, Sales Manager,

Operations Manager, and CFO. He also co-founded Culinary Expressions International—a global events and catering

company—following the success of their support for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Under his financial leadership, the

organization went on to deliver services for major international events, including the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens,

Greece, and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, generating over $15 million in revenue through large-scale, one-off

global events.

Marvin’s reputation for meticulous attention to detail, exceptional client service, and strong financial discipline has made him a

respected figure in both the hospitality and financial sectors. He has served on the Board of Directors of the International

Caterers Association and as Treasurer of its Executive Committee.

In 2007, Marvin became the first investor in BiThermal Technologies, recognizing early the company’s innovative potential in

the thermal energy space. Now serving as CFO, Marvin brings his deep financial expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and

operational experience to help guide BiThermal Technologies through its next phase of growth and strategic development.

Marvin and Maxine retired in 2021 after selling their catering operation. He remains a passionate community advocate and co

founded the One Table Together project, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing high school students together for

family-style dinners designed to foster dialogue and build bridges against discrimination, bias, and bullying within school

communities.
